“Small daily habits, lead to long term growth”
Over a year ago, we were caught unawares by the Corona virus. Suddenly it was there. It turned almost all of our lives upside down. For some it was a positive experience, as they saw their turnover increase substantially, for example. But for the majority, it was a year with a black lining. They lost a loved one, felt lonely or depressed, suddenly had no job or ended up in a stressful home (work) situation. Positive or negative, the virus forced us to think.
Especially in the first months, the focus was on change. Why and how did we live our lives the way we did? Many were convinced that it would never be the same again, and that it was a good thing. No more massive traffic jams or frequent trips abroad. Healthier food, more exercise, taking better care of the world. But also less work, and more enjoying spending time with friends and family. Now, more than a year later, many have a slightly different view. Many people want to go back to the way things were as soon as possible. On holiday? Preferably today rather than tomorrow. In the traffic jam to the office? Gladly! Friends and family? I miss my colleagues. Funny how the human brain works. If you wait long enough, it automatically becomes ‘normal’ again. Or does it?
What do you want to change?
In this third Miracle Morning blog, we would like to ask you to go back in your mind to last year. What positive changes did it bring you? What made you feel good? And why? The maelstrom of life often takes us away from our deep desires. Especially when it comes to small changes that make you very happy. Would you really sign up for a five-day office week again? Or perhaps a standard day’s work elsewhere would be just fine? Now that flexibility is on the way, and the ‘old normal’ is coming closer and closer, it is a good time to think critically about your own life again. Write down your thoughts and desires, and give them priority again. How? Use the morning!
What is the role of the morning?
Last week we shared this blog, in which we explained how valuable the morning can be for your life. Soon everything will be possible again, our time schedules will slowly fill up again. In other words, time is getting scarce again. But fortunately there is the Miracle Morning. Starting your day effectively and consciously may help you to continue your little moments of happiness. How exactly to create such a morning, we will tell you next week. We will explain how you can go from a normal morning to a Miracle Morning in 5 simple steps. But first: What do you want to change? Pen and paper handy? Write it down!
About Miracle Morning Month
At the beginning of April, Miracle Morning Month began at blue®m. In other words, we will be focusing on the morning for the next few weeks. Why? Because the first ritual of the day has the greatest impact of all. It determines your mentality, feeling, fitness and context for the rest of the day. In addition, it is a moment when we can start all over again, as it were. A fresh start for your mind, but also for your body. We do this using the book Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod (really a great book), which is full of tips and wise advice.
